Holiday Vox Box 2012

Christmas came early for me this year!! I received my first Influenster Box on Christmas Eve and it was jam packed with great goodies that made me feel like I was getting spoiled early. If you haven't heard of Influenster you really should go and check out the website (www.influenster.com) When you login you will see there are a number of fun ways to interact with the site. You are assigned a score based on your level of participation with the site and how much you share and promote new products on social media sites with your friends. You can connect all of your accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Four Square, etc.) to your Influenster profile and then you can begin sharing. Earn badges in categories that tell Influenster who you are and what you are about so that they can match you with cool new products in Influenster boxes as you qualify for them. I know it is a little bit elitist of me but I feel so special being a part of this community (I know, I'm a wackadoo--it doesn't take much to make me feel like a unique snowflake. The community is open to everyone for pete's sake! lol) I love interacting with other members, seeing new products, sharing products that I love with others, and reviewing them. I even Facebook spy on other members when they get boxes I didn't qualify for to see what goodies they got! OOoooHhhh AAaaAahhh!! :o)

I'm a bit off track now but at least you know what I'm talking about when I refer to my Influenster Holiday Vox Box 2012. The box comes via USPS and I received 6 items in mine along with a VERY high value coupon to check out Sole Society; $25 off my first pair of shoes. There was also a Goody Quikstyle Half Paddle Styling Brush. The most awesome feature of the brush is the moisture wicking microfiber that is woven in along with the bristles. It draws out some of the water from your hair right after you shower to remove up to 30% more than towel drying alone. I've been able to get my blow drying time down to about 20 minutes, which is half the time--my hair is all the way down my back and very thick.

Another cool product I got was a face mask from Montagne Jeunesse. I let myself feel super pampered the other night. I ran a bubble bath, got myself a glass of wine, applied my raspberry and mango smoothie face mask and then I got to read an ENTIRE chapter of Water for Elephants without my kids banging down the door. The smoothie mask made me face feel cleansed and moisturized, my pores appeared minimized and I didn't have that tight feeling some masks leave you with. Because my box got here nice and early I was able to apply and wear my Kiss Nail Dress that I received for New Year's. I got loads of compliments on the texture, pattern, and color. They were beyond easy to apply, basically stickers that you put on the nail bed and then file away any extra over hang. The nicest thing for me, since I'm a little OCD about my manicures and pedicures matching is that they work just as well on your hands as they do on your toes. Also, my kiddos couldn't stop touching them, just like when I apply polish except no smearing and then secret cursing--BONUS!! ;o)

Today I tried the Eboost energy drink. I hate to include a mediocre review. But, in all honesty this particular product didn't really work on me. Maybe because I'm used to drinking a couple of coffees in the morning and I substituted my pink lemonade flavor effervescent drink for them. Perhaps it would work better for you??? It might be worth a try seeing as it is only 10 calories and chock full of necessary vitamins and minerals!

I had better success with the Quaker Real Medley's Apple and Walnut Oatmeal. The hearty texture, delicious flavor, and convienant packaging were a major win with me. Best of all my incredibly PICKY eater, my three year old daughter, actually stole the cup away from me and finished it! She loved it and this is a kids who mainly subsists off of hot dogs, mac and cheese, and well, air, I think.... I got half the calories and we both managed to stay full until lunch. Pretty good I'd say! I'm looking forward to stocking up on the Summer Berry flavor, even though the Apple was great the berry is more in line with my tastes.

The final product I received was the NYC New York Liquid Lip Shine in Nude York. Influenster managed to pick an awesome color for my super pasty self. This lip gloss glides on super smooth, doesn't settle into cracks in the lips, and smells/tastes great. It's funny I can't really tell if it is a smell or a taste that I'm attracted to in this product. It doesn't have a distinctive purposeful taste but the smell of the product is so nice that I can sort of taste it, if you know what I mean??? Or you don't and you think I'm weird, either way this lip shine has a great texture and comes in a wide variety of colors so you should absolutely buy it! :o)

I'm loving keeping you all in the know about what I received in my box and inundating you with posts, photos, and youtube videos! Even if I don't ever get another box this was a fun, exciting, and unique experience and I am super motivated to continue interacting with the Influenster Community.
